Constraint
Editorial output could not pause for an engineering rewrite, and the audience arrived on phones long before the site was built for them.
Decision
Universal JavaScript with server-side rendering — one codebase rendering on both sides of the wire, so the first paint came from the server and the session continued on the client.

Constraint
Devices already in the field could not be reflashed, and the formats they spoke could not be broken.
Decision
Re-architected the object formats behind a centralised repository, so interoperability became a property of the schema rather than of each consumer.

Constraint
On-chain, and therefore immutable — compliance logic had to be right before deployment, not after.
